Boxing Flyer

A3 Sheffield Boxing Poster

Well, this was probably one of my favourite poster designs of the year! The artwork was created for a Sheffield Boxing Promoter. When being briefed by the client, I really wanted to go full on Old School design. I’ve always admired these kind of explosive photoshop posters, and have seen many in my travels around South East Asia, for Thai Boxing Events. Metallic font filters in photoshop, fireworks graphics – downloaded from Royalty Free Websites, and posing boxers (cut-out using photoshop) with the old fashion outer stroke blurring!

There’s really nothing else to say about the artwork – it does exactly what is there to do. It shouts out: This artwork is promoting a boxing event!

Castle Upholstery

Castle Upholstery Logo Design

Castle Upholstery is a small furniture upholstery firm based in Mansfield. Wanting to relaunch their brand they approached me to create a new logo. My initial idea was for a striking graphic to both represent its furniture business and build on the castle name. Using vector graphics created in Illustrator and antique fonts, I was able to achieve this.

The colour scheme also was important, bright and bold but with a hint of luxury, I used the green and gold. This logo was used for the whole of the company’s Corporate ID – business cards, letterheads and compliment slips – and was use for the launch of the new website build.

Alfra UK Catalogue

Alfra UK Product Catalogue

Alfra UK is a Sheffield Based tool company. They required a brand new product price catalogue. I updated their old company brand and identity to use in the artwork. The product catalogue is 40 pages and the work involved quite detailed product specifications, images, tables, bullet points and listings. Using photoshop it was also necessary for me to cut out each product and place it as a transparent layer. The main layout and artwork was generated in Indesign. The final artwork was in a PDF format using CMYK with crop marks for litho print.

Stonedge Church

A5 Promotional Flyer Design

I was asked to create a vibrant and striking A5 Promotional Sales Leaflet for a Summer Church Fate. Using vector graphics and icons from a Royalty Free Graphics Website, I put together a fun and bright summer design to increase brand awareness of the fate in a fun and entertaining way. Layered images and vector graphics in photoshop and Illustrator was used as the background montage, and the text overlaid in InDesign. This flyer was well received by the Church and they have used this design for the last 5 years, changing the dates and times.

Abbeydale Sports Club Logo Design

Abbeydale Sports Club Logo

Sheffield based ASC was looking to revamp their identity and asked me to redesign the corporate logo. Using the ‘A’ to split the background diamond shape and using different shades of green, the logo is to represent a sports field or court. The logo is used for their stationery, business cards, websites and also as roadside signage.

Print Engine UK website re-design

Print Engine UK Limited is a small printing company based in Chesterfield. Eager to keep printing and serving clients throughout the lockdown period of 2020, they soon realised that their website needed a redesign to become more on message and allow visitors to see the full range of services they offered.

I transferred their old domain and hosting and set about building a new website, to showcase their products and make sure visitors could see their lockdown operating procedures, full range of services and how to contact John to discuss their requirements.

The website is built using a paid-for theme installed in WordPress called Enfold. I created some animated headers and an opening frame with an uplifting message – let’s get our businesses ready for lockdown and by working together we can all come through this.
